Renapharma is a family-owned Swedish pharmaceutical company, founded in 2000 by Bo G Danielson, a professor of medicine (nephrology) at Uppsala University Hospital. Since 2014, the company is run by Bo’s daughter, Caroline Danielson, who ensures that the company manages his great interest in research. Renapharma remains keen to contribute to Swedish research and development in areas where they operate.

Current research:

The CHICK- study

Renapharma has, during the period 2011-2015, sponsored a randomised clinical trial of 100 kidney failure patients being treated with Detremin or placebo. The results of the study will be published in a scientific journal.
